Allan is CEO of Dunne Investments, Inc., a private family-owned business based in Wichita , KS.  He is responsible for strategic direction at the company and oversight of invested capital positions.  The company is focused on real estate investment and development throughout the country as well as crude oil & natural gas exploration and production investment opportunities primarily in the Mid-Continent region.

 

Dunne Investments currently owns or manages real estate in Wichita and Lawrence, KS and recently sold projects in Olathe, KS; Phoenix, AZ; and Oklahoma City, OK.  The company’s energy portfolio consists of holdings throughout Kansas and Oklahoma, eastern Colorado and Alaska’s north slope.  In addition to its two primary investment vehicles, Dunne Investments has also invested in several other alternative investment categories, including venture capital, private equity and private note investments.

 

Allan is also President of Dunne Property Company, LLC, where he now spends most of his working hours. He focuses on identifying attractive real estate investment opportunities for himself and financial partners.  Allan is in full start-up mode with this young company and is responsible for wearing every hat and checking every box.  

 

Prior to returning to Wichita in 2006, Allan was a Senior Real Estate Analyst in Holliday Fenoglio Fowler’s Dallas office, where he helped raise capital for commercial real estate assets of all different types.  He valued commercial real estate for debt and equity purposes in all of the four major property types as well as hospitality, self-storage, regional mall and development land.  Allan was fortunate to work on approximately $1 billion in closed equity and debt transactions during his three and a half years with HFF.

 

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Kansas and a Masters in Business Administration (with concentrations in Real Estate Finance and Entrepreneurship) from The University of Texas at Austin.

 

Allan is the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Wichita Collegiate School and President of the Board for Wichita Country Club.  He also serves on the University of Kansas Finance Advisory Board and is an Advisory Member on the University of Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Council (REFIC).  He has volunteered with several other organizations over the past ten years, including the Sedgwick County Zoo, Visioneering Wichita, Wichita Rotary Charitable Fund and Youth Entrepreneurs.

 

He has been married to his wife Nicole since 1999, and they have two children, Charlie (age 21 and Darcy (age 20).  In his spare time, Allan enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf and tennis, reading, cooking on his pellet grill and fly-fishing.
